This botanical garden located in the city of Puerto de la Cruz. It was designed in the 18th century by Marquis Alonso. Many exotic sub-tropical and tropical plants are available in the botanical garden. Among them, the main display is the Coussopoa Dealbata. Unique tree… from South America. It gives you the creeps and like something coming out, of a creepy horror movie. There are fifty different varieties of this Coussopos Dealbata trees. It takes half a day to explore the entire garden.

Puerto de la Cruz Botanical Gardens – Opening Times
April to September open at 9 am and closes at 7 pm.
October to March open at 9 am and closes at 6 pm.
The scholastics visit the place for research purpose, but they need to get an appointment between 9 am and 1 pm on weekdays only.
Christmas Day, New Year’s Day and Good Friday – closed
The garden also contains a library that contains mainly Canary Islands flora herbarium literature.
The Biggest Dragon Tree
The park has the largest orchid collection on the island. There is also the oldest and the biggest dragon tree. This tree is one of the major attractions of the park. The garden contains a shop and a café where you can relish the local products.
